- The short version
You give us £9/month (or whatever your tier is). We give
you information and guidance about your UK financial
life. We are not your IFA and we don't give regulated
advice. We're careful but not perfect - use our outputs as one input to
your decisions, not the only one.
You can cancel any time. Full refund in the first 30
days. We can cancel you if you abuse the service. Either
way, your data stays yours.
1 - Who we are and what you're agreeing to
These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a contract between you and
MBKR Limited, a company registered in England and Wales
with company number 11943274, trading as sonuswealth
("we", "us"). By creating an account, joining the waitlist, or using
sonuswealth in any way, you agree to these Terms.
If you don't agree, don't use the service. If you stop agreeing, cancel and
delete your account.
2 - What sonuswealth is
Sonuswealth is an information and guidance service that
helps UK tax-resident households model their financial life. It pulls
together your accounts, applies UK (and Indian, for NRI users) tax and
estate rules, projects forward across decades, and answers plain-English
questions about your specific position.
What sonuswealth is not:
- Not an FCA-regulated financial adviser. We are not authorised under the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000. We do not give regulated advice.
- Not a product seller. We do not sell pensions, ISAs, insurance, mortgages, or any other financial product. No commissions, no referral fees.
- Not a custodian. We do not hold your money or assets. We hold a picture of them.
- Not a tax-return filing service. We do not file returns with HMRC or the Indian Income Tax Department. Output from sonuswealth can be given to your accountant for filing.
- Not a substitute for professional advice. Where your situation is complex, you should consult an FCA-authorised IFA, a tax adviser, or a qualified solicitor.
3 - Information vs regulated advice - the line
Under FSMA 2000 and FCA rules, "advice" means a personal recommendation to
a specific person about a specific transaction in a specific regulated
product. We do not do that.
Sonuswealth gives you:
- Information: facts about UK tax rules, allowance thresholds, IHT bands, BPR, etc., applied to your numbers.
- Modelling: what your position looks like under different scenarios, with assumptions disclosed.
- Guidance: general considerations that apply to your situation, framed as "things to consider" or "options you have", never as recommendations.
Sonuswealth does not give you:
- Personal recommendations to buy, sell, hold, transfer, draw down, gift, or restructure any specific financial product.
- Suitability assessments under FCA COBS rules.
- "You should do X" statements about regulated activities.
Every Sonu (Ask) reply includes a visible indicator that the response is
information and guidance, not regulated advice. If you need a regulated
recommendation, see an FCA-authorised IFA. The FCA Register is at
register.fca.org.uk.
4 - Your account
- You must be 18 or over and UK tax resident (or fall within our supported NRI / cross-border categories) to use sonuswealth.

5 - Subscription, payment, and refunds

6 - Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use sonuswealth for any unlawful purpose, including money laundering, tax evasion, or fraud.
- Upload data that doesn't belong to you (e.g. someone else's accounts without their consent).
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or extract our engine, code, or content for resale.
- Use automated bots or scripts to interact with the service beyond ordinary browser use.
- Resell, sublicence, or repackage sonuswealth output as your own commercial advice service.
- Misrepresent your profession for the public-sector discount.
We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules, with notice
where practical and without notice where the violation is severe. Your
data export remains available for 30 days post-termination.
7 - Limitations of liability (read this)
Sonuswealth is a software service running calculations on the data you give
us. We work hard to make the engine correct against UK tax and estate
rules. We are not infallible. Tax rules change, edge cases exist,
assumptions matter.
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- We do not warrant that sonuswealth's output will be free of errors, complete, or fit for any specific tax-planning purpose.
- You should treat sonuswealth's output as one input to your decisions, alongside professional advice for complex situations.
- We are not liable for any financial loss, tax penalty, or missed opportunity arising from your reliance on sonuswealth's output, except where such loss arises from our gross negligence, wilful misconduct, fraud, or breach of duties we cannot lawfully exclude.
- Our total aggregate liability to you under these Terms in any 12-month period is limited to the greater of (a) £100 or (b) the fees you paid us in the prior 12 months.
- Nothing in these Terms excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
- Nothing in these Terms removes your statutory rights as a UK consumer under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
8 - Data and privacy
How we collect, use, share, and protect your data is set out in our
Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms. Read it.
Key commitments: we don't sell your data, we don't train third-party AI on
it, you can export and delete it at any time, and your data stays in the UK.
9 - Intellectual property
- The sonuswealth name, logo, mascot, engine, and software are owned by MBKR Limited. You receive a personal, non-exclusive licence to use the service while your subscription is active.
- Your data and the outputs computed from it remain yours. You can export and use them however you like.
- You don't get a licence to redistribute, resell, or rebrand sonuswealth or its outputs.
10 - Service availability
We aim for high uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Planned
maintenance is communicated in advance. Unplanned outages are restored as
quickly as we can. Your data is backed up daily; in the worst case you
lose up to 24 hours of changes.
11 - Changes to the service or these Terms
We may change the service (add features, retire features, change pricing)
and these Terms. Material changes are notified to active subscribers by
email at least 30 days in advance. If a change is materially adverse to
you, you can cancel with a pro-rata refund.
12 - Termination
You can terminate any time via in-app settings or by emailing us. Your
access ends at the end of your current paid period (unless you request
immediate termination). Your data is available for export for 30 days
post-termination, then deleted.
We can terminate your account for breach of these Terms (see Section 6),
non-payment, or where we are required to by law or regulator.
13 - Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
Any dispute that can't be resolved informally is subject to the exclusive
jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
If you're a consumer resident outside England and Wales, mandatory consumer
protection laws of your country still apply.
14 - Contact
Questions about these Terms: mihir@sonuswealth.com.
UK postal: MBKR Limited, 32 Oakfield Avenue, Birstall, Leicester LE4 3DQ.
Legal review pending. These Terms are drafted in plain
English by the founder and are subject to review by a UK-qualified
commercial lawyer before paid users are onboarded. If a court ever found
any clause unenforceable, the rest stays in force.
