Moneyhub's consumer app closed on 14 August 2026. If what you are trying to replace is the whole-picture view of everything you own, this page is for you. If what you are trying to replace is the budgeting, it isn't, and the second section says so plainly rather than making you find out later.
Moneyhub did two jobs at once: it showed you everything you owned in one place, and it sorted your spending. Losing it hits those two groups very differently, and no single replacement is right for both.
| What you mainly used it for | Where to look |
|---|---|
| Seeing everything you own in one place: pensions, property, investments, cash, and what it all adds up to | Sonuswealth is built for this. Read on. |
| Sorting transactions and running a budget: categories, subscriptions spotted for you, spending by month | Not us. Emma, Snoop and Plum are built for that job and connect to your bank to do it. |
That second row is not modesty. Sonuswealth holds no transaction ledger at all, so there is nothing for it to categorise. It asks what you spend as a monthly figure and plans forward from there. If the thing you will miss on the first of next month is a tidy list of where the money went, take one of the apps above and be happier for it.
What Sonuswealth does instead is the part Moneyhub only sketched: it takes the whole picture and asks what happens to it over the rest of your life. What the taxman takes, what is left to leave behind, whether the money lasts, and what changes if you act. Those are the questions on the product pages, and they are the reason this app exists.
Moneyhub let people export before the app closed. That export is a good starting position and a poor substitute for a multi-year line, and it is worth being clear which is which.
Drop in a CSV or Excel export from any provider and the accounts land as real holdings. Every imported row goes through a validation step first: values that aren't numbers, rows that don't match a known kind of asset or debt, and anything the app can't tie to a specific holding get held back for you to confirm rather than quietly folded into a total.
Statement scan and guided manual entry work the same way, so an account with no export still gets in. Full detail on How it works.
Workplace pensions, SIPPs, property with a share you don't wholly own, and defined-benefit schemes all count towards what you are worth. A final-salary scheme is valued at its transfer value and shown as the guaranteed income it is, never as a pot you can spend down. That is the distinction Moneyhub users with an NHS or teachers' pension kept having to make by hand.
The years of net-worth line Moneyhub drew for you cannot be transplanted. Sonuswealth opens its own dated record from your first upload and adds a snapshot every time your numbers change. Until those snapshots accumulate, the trend you see is modelled rather than measured, and the app labels it that way instead of dressing a projection up as your past.
Information and guidance only. Not personal advice. Sonuswealth is not FCA-authorised and does not give regulated financial advice. It shows you what is true about your own numbers under current UK rules. Investment values can fall as well as rise. Verify decisions with a qualified FCA-authorised adviser before acting.
The trade this makes is deliberate. You give up the daily auto-refresh, and you get planning depth a spending tracker was never built to reach.
Upload a fresh export or edit a balance when something moves. It takes under a minute and it is the honest cost of not holding a connection to your bank. Open Banking live-connect is a Phase 2 item for 2027 H1 and will be optional when it lands (see the roadmap).
A year-by-year projection of income, spending and what's left, running to age 95 by default and adjustable if you'd rather plan on a different horizon. That is the Cashflow question, and it is the one a balance total can never answer.
Income tax, capital gains, dividends and inheritance tax modelled against the current UK rules, not typed in from memory. When a Budget moves a threshold, the rules update and every figure follows. See Tax & Estate.
Unused pensions come into the inheritance tax net from April 2027. The app models your estate on both sides of that date so the change is a number you can look at rather than a headline you half-remember. The change, explained.
Pension or ISA, when to take tax-free cash, whether to overpay the mortgage. Each is worked on your actual position, with the rule, the assumption and the consequence shown. What's true, not what to do. How decisions work.
Everything above reads from a single picture of what you own and owe, so a figure means the same thing on every screen. MyMoney is where that picture lives.
Every line here is something Moneyhub did, or something you might reasonably assume from the phrase "wealth app". None of them is coming this year, and pretending otherwise would only waste your afternoon.
Nothing syncs today. No account is linked, no balance updates on its own, and we never see or ask for a bank login.
Individual transactions are never stored, so they are never sorted. No categories, no merchant tidying, no "you spent more on takeaways this month".
No monthly budget to set, no envelope to overspend, no alert when you do. Spending enters as a figure you tell us, and bills and subscriptions are ones you add yourself.
Balances yes, years of accumulated line yes-but-no. See the section above; it matters enough to say twice.
Sonuswealth is not FCA-authorised, gives no personal recommendations, and sells no financial products. It does not earn a penny from where your money ends up. What it charges is on Pricing.
Part of the discomfort of an app closing is discovering how much of your financial life it held. Worth knowing the shape of that before you hand it to anyone else, us included.
Because there is no bank connection, there is no bank credential to store and nothing that can be used to move money. What the app holds is what you put in it: balances, holdings, and the answers you gave. We do not sell your data to advertisers or brokers, and your numbers are not used to train any model. You can export everything you have added, and you can delete it.
The specifics (where the records physically sit, who processes what, and how long anything is kept) are set out in the privacy notice and on Trust & Security. Read them before you upload anything. That is the correct order, and it is the order Moneyhub's closure has just taught a lot of people to use.
Answered the way they would be answered on the phone, which is to say without a "currently" doing the heavy lifting in the middle of the sentence.
No. There is no live bank connection switched on today, and we never ask for a bank login or password. You bring accounts in by uploading a spreadsheet or statement export, scanning a statement, or typing the balances in. Open Banking live-connect is a Phase 2 item for 2027 H1; when it arrives it will run through an FCA-authorised provider's own consent flow and stay optional.
No. There is no transaction ledger at all, so nothing can be categorised, no subscription gets spotted for you, and there are no envelope budgets. Spending enters as a monthly figure and the plan runs from there. If automatic transaction budgeting is what you want, we are not your app — Emma, Snoop and Plum are.
Not as history. Balances export cleanly and load as your current position, but the multi-year line cannot be transplanted. Sonuswealth starts its own dated record from your first upload. Until real snapshots accumulate, the trend shown is modelled rather than measured, and it says so.
More on the questions underneath all of this: why round net-worth numbers actually change the rules underfoot, whether you are behind, using real UK data, and what idle cash quietly costs. The rest are in Insights.
